Minnesota is a little better than what many thought. Pretty good road win again last night.

Congrats to the "Ohio Players". Hope locker room was grooving to the funky sounds of Love Rollercoaster last night in honor of Vincent and Dakota. Proud of those guys.

Maybe winning at Purdue was the proof of that and MAYBE we all just underrated how good a top ten RPI team was coming into Purdue to begin with?

Fun Fact: Through 18 conference games, 9 have been won by the home team and 9 have been won by the road team.
This is why the home minny loss isn't as bad as some want to make it out to be. Things are wide open in the conference this year.

??

If you want to be B1G champion, losing @ home is major blow, losing @ home to a conference contender is just huge especially if you only play them once.

It's a great point. I had a similar conversation with a buddy of mine who is a Butler fan yesterday. I asked him if he would trade the bad loss on the road to St. Johns for the good win at home vs Nova. He said "No way". If you want to win your conference, you have to beat other contending teams every chance you get. Assuming that you are going to take a loss in one of those two games, you might as well beat the team that you think you will be competing with down the stretch.

In Purdue's case, I'm certainly glad we came back and got a win at OSU but I would much rather have dealt Minn a loss. OSU will be middle of the B10, but Minn looks like a contender.

Minnesota looks like a contender largely because of that win against us though.

Let's not try and boost our competition just because we got romped by em. Minny was an underachievement. Losing to them is not something to bask in glory about. Not glorifying.

That's true, and I know what they say about Ifs and Buts. However :), I thought Minn was the better team the night they lost to MSU at home. They let that one get away from them. If they were sitting 15-1 with a lone road loss to current #12/13 FSU, they would be a top #20 team in the nation at this point. At least from what I have seen of them so far, I think they could contend in the conference.

I didn't get to see their game against MSU except for I think I watched most of the OT portion. I can say I was impressed with them against us so if that isn't some extreme aberration of their capabilities then I would tend to agree they are legit. Unfortunately I think we were the game that legitimized them for most people.

they are good and talented. However, "IF" OSU gets it together they are perhaps more loaded...

Losing Bates-Diop is a hit, but they'll still do some damage on select nights. Purdue was very fortunate to get out of Columbus with a "W."

Minnesota and Ohio State are off the schedule now....however, I suppose the Boilers could see either or both of them come the BTT.

And we got jaw-taunted, and made to look like fool faced idiots too.
