Matt Rhule landing recruits at Baylor

You don't remember it because I haven't posted anything about Rhule since he was hired by Baylor. But I made several posts highlighting his remarkable success at Temple. Perhaps you remember that.
Oh yes I certainly remember hearing all they hype from you about how he was going to wait out all the bad jobs for Notre Dame or Penn State. Then he takes the Baylor job.........
No one gives a damn except you. We have a great, new coach with an excellent staff. Our recruiting is picking up noticeably.
Sorry if it wasn't you. I just remember someone who is probably his agent was pimping him on this board. Figured it was you because I'm not sure why else anyone would post that here.
Bigger question is who gives a shit about Ruhle? Good for him landing recruits, but he's not our coach, and couldn't care less about how he does.
If you don't care, why are you reading the thread? The topic is obvious from the title.
To point out this isn't news. Every coach in the country lands recruits.
I believe Bullwhip nailed it as to why this thread is important and also pertinent. The real relevance of this thread is not the success of Ruhl, but rather how it impacts us. Ruhl is showing he can recruit quality players to a team many thought would take a nosedive because of its off the field issues. And unlike the Hazell days, when Purdue was battling Marshall and Middle Tenn st and MAC teams for recruits, we are now battling teams like Cincy, Louisville and Baylor for players. I sure want Harris to sign with Purdue. But to do so, we've got to beat out Ruhl and Baylor for his services. It's always a good feeling to sign a quality and elite recruit. But it's a much better feeling if you can also beat out a top quality program in the process for his services.
