I want to make this real clear since I have been now labeled a Painter hater. I don't hate Painter. I have NEVER posted anything resembling that I wanted him fired. There are things about his coaching style I don't like and this is an opinion board where those things can and should be discussed. I could call out specific people but that is a violation of the terms of these boards and frankly, isn't enforced enough.
I have also been pretty clear in saying that Painter is not on any hot seat, that Burke is not going to fire him etc.
What makes this so damn funny is that for several years I have been blasted by others who are negative about keeping Painter that I was one of the "apologists". Just because Painter is our coach, and I don't agree with how he handles every single thing, doesn't mean I want him fired.
