Robert Carter (which I was surprised by) and Diamond Stone have both declared and signed an agent.

Melo Trimble has declared, but has not signed an agent. Not sure what the thought is on him.

They also lose Sulaimon and Layman as seniors.

So basically they had 4 guys that would be drafted (if Melo goes) on their team last year. Wouldn't have really guessed.

Why weren't they better than they were? Falling off the cliff now.

Carter is a big loss; surprised me as well. He torched the Boilers in the game at College Park. Even if Trimble comes back, I don't see them finishing at the top of the conference.

In hindsight, I think not having Wells last year was a bigger issue. It seemed at times, they didn't play collectively enough.....one guy gets hot and another tries to still take over.....plus, as good as Trimble is (and he is very talented), he maybe was forcing things or showing frustration. That's just off-the-cuff from an outside perspective.

Conference should be interesting next year with MSU & Wisky in top 3. Wisky should be the best if Hayes is still there given their experienced senior core.

Purdue is 2nd to 5th unless off season acquisitions or experience can booster their average guard play where teams know how to guard us without a difference maker scorer @ guard. I do hope Carsen @ the 1 or Basil @ the 2 could provide a threat out front @ guard. Lord after last year how about Vince @ the 2 and Basil @ the 3?...as we need some difference maker from the guard spots.

Not sold on iu w/ Blackman back they were way better without him....his play and lack of D seems to hurt the team, but have enough team talent to be in top 5. OSU should improve and be more of a threat with the talent they have there.

MD and Iowa fall off. I haven't looked @ schedule though which lately seems to determine placing as much as anything.

Good point on Wells. Not sure who they have coming in but they better be good to fill in the chasm just created.

Yes. A senior heavy Wisky team will fit their formula nicely and put them in the fight for the top.
Our guards will be what defines us as same as last year or moving up a notch or two.
My IU friends tell me in one breath that our guards are our problem then in the next breath tell me that their loss at PG will not hurt them. They are funny people. I see IU and Purdue nose to nose given what we know right now.
Wisky, MSU, Purdue, IU, Michigan will be the major players.

IU has enough talent to be in the top five in the Big Ten?

Do ya think?

Amazing how similar some IU fans are to UK fans. Of course, a lot of them come from the same gene puddle.
Come on man. At least Kentucky fans usually know who their father is (even though it's usually their uncle). I'm pretty sure Mark Cuban founded the site below to help his fellow IU alumni:
