Beat Maryland and Purdue can get some traction and find additional wins against teams that are mid pack in Big Ten. Lose and we'll struggle with Illinois and Northwestern for bottom of the Big West.

Clearly the defense has to play like they did in the middle quarters of the Penn State game. Defending the RPO is quite difficult, even if Jackson is out. Pegrime isn't too shabby himself, and they've obviously put up some crazy numbers on offense this year.

as for injuries, I believe it's time to start including the injuries of our opponents. Purdue is not the only team in NCAA college football to have sustained injuries. it appears the Maryland starting QB is dealing with an injury. That kind of equals out with Sindelar's absence.
