These two got into it on the sideline yesterday. Hayes was in gym clothes while wearing a boot and I didn't even hear him say anything.....I was only 20 ft away. Then Markell gets up after a huge hit by Bentley and instantly starts cussing loudly at Hayes. Then Hayes slapped him hard upside the helmet and it was on.....only to be broken up by other players, of course. Does anyone know if these two former Indiana high school players have a previous beef?

BTW, I heard the other DB's say "Hayes doesn't take no s**t." Honestly, that's the kind of stuff I like to hear. I hope they carry that kind of attitude onto the field against our opponents in the Fall.

I want to see our players be aggressive, passionate, and show emotions on the field. However, you have to be in control and not get a stupid 15 yard penalty at an important drive or part at the game too. There has to be a balance.

Agreed. This type of fire creates unity over time. The rest of the team will take note. I'm excited about the direction CJB is taking our beloved football program. BTFU!!!

Who cares? People get in fights in sports. Doesn't mean they hate each other. Also I'm sure with 70+ guys practicing they all aren't going to like each other.

I didn't say they hated each other.....but it was more intense than most confrontations I've seen.

Yeah OP didn't say it was a bad thing and I agree. I would only be worried if the rest of the team didn't get involved and they just beat on each other. This type of stuff happens all the time.

I remember going to some practices when Coletto was the coach and he has a very simple solution to these things:

Line each guy 10 yards apart from one another and when the whistle blew...the two cracked heads and then that was the end of it.
