Did Maryland ever get screwed on the no call at the end of the game. Replay slo-mo shows the ball just starting down when it was blocked. WOW, glad I am not a Terp.

I thought the block was clean. I thought Tremble was fouled on his layup attempt at the end and the desperate shot was also close enough someone could've called it if they had the guts to do it directly in front of Izzo.

Yeah Trimble hasn't been getting those calls nearly as much as early in the year when the announcers were praising him for it. He is used to feeding off of the line. Not so much today.

The Maryland block looked good and I can see it not being called. AJ's block of Yogi was as clean as can be. More so, where the refs really screwed us was giving all those fouls to AJ and it really hampered his playing time.

While we're on the subject...

AJ totally got away with flushing an alleyoop that was in the cylinder today.

Calls like that just aren't 100%. You take the bad with the good.
I think we over analyzed that situation a couple of weeks ago. An offensive player can catch a pass in the cylinder if it has not hit the rim or backboard first. It was legal.

It's so subjective and can't be reviewed so we have to live with Teddy-V and home cooking or Teddy-Cooking. But it ALWAYS seems to go against Purdue and with Izzo's influence, MSU will always get those calls tomorrow, so don't be surprised when you are throwing your chicken wings all over the place in frustration. Dang, I think it's raining hard right now,,,,supposed to rain all day tomorrow too for the game, ARGHHHH!!!!! I hate getting out my Purdue umbrella because it is so HUGE.

A bad goal tend or travel call is no big deal. Nor is it with a couple of extra fouls against your team. However a couple of extra bad foul calls on your star player is inexcusable for a ref. For that reason alone, I would hope the Big 10 would review the IO-Purdue game and get rid of at least one poor official. The only game as bad was when Maryland beat us. That game should be reviewed also and all the refs should be fired. There was no way we committed that many more fouls than Maryland. Good referees are like gold and should be rewarded and given more games to ref. However, those doing a poor job need to be fired.

A side note. Once in college, I refereed an intramural game. If I had not just been known for boxing in the Golden Gloves, these guys would have deservedly kicked the stuffings out of me - lol.

I did not know that, Bigohh. That would make AJ's play legal. I donn't think the ball had touched the rm or backboard.

Still, you have to be good enough to over come a judgement call or two that goes against ya.
