If, and that's a big if, the NCAA decides on further punishment, it wouldn't come until spring or summer of 2017. What's happening this week is just a notice of allegations. UL then gets like 90 days to respond and then the NCAA can take another 60 days after that to decide if further punishment is warranted.

There's always a chance someone convinces him to wait until spring to sign, or that he has a clause put in his LOI that frees him should UL get punished. Someone did that in the last decade, but I can't remember who.

I'd say it's highly unlikely. In fact, Louisville just got a new commitment from a 4* forward. That said, I had moved on from both Haas and Swanigan before their respective de-commitments.
