Malik Hall offered today on unofficial visit.

Haarms old teammate? I wonder if there was any overlap.

I was just wandering around some of the recruiting sites ... Okoro is really interesting. Ks, IU, Ore have filled their needs at his spot. Misssou needs him. He looks really good and no one around "here" is talking about him.

I am not sure. I heard that too where Haarms was discovered when Painter was watching another player there. There is a 2 year difference between Haarms and Hall so it may have been someone else last year. 247 has 100% KU for Hall since he is playing in Kansas but way too early to tell with just unofficial visits at this point.

Which okoro. There are two in this class.

So which PF do you want in that class? Seems like painter has offered quite a few great bigs.

Okoro
Stewart
Jackson-Davis
Hall

Some may play the 5, I don’t know...

I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough to climb into this Pandora's box

A quick scan of other people's opinions rank them:
For PF:
Okoro - 4 star (he has the most blueblood offers)
TJD - 3 star
Stewart - 2 star

They have Hall (6' 6")as a 2 star SF ... but many in that class are still 2-stars.

If you’re going by rankings alone, you should check out 247.

They seem a lot more robust, at least at this stage.

I think Purdue breaks through and gets two of these....

Keion Brooks
Trayce Jackson-Davis
Malik Hall
Okoro
Isaiah Stewart
Jalen Wilson
Drew Timme
Isaiah Thompson
Matt VanKomen

Are you assuming I don't look at them ... of course, they do have us offering Isaac Okoro a SF from Ga, when we have offered Francis Okoro, a PF from Illinois.

Ideally, I’d like a player who could play either the 3 or the 4, like Vince Edwards. I don’t know which of these players matches that description, but it sounds like Hall might.

I am not calling Thompson a lock, but it would be a travashamockery if we don't land him. KBJ is a no if we don't land Tyger and even then it's a long shot. Stewart is probably the most likely, but Okoro is right there too. Jackson-Davis likes Purdue because his dad likes how Purdue develops the bigs. He has been an absolute beast this year and would be one heck of a signing. I expect his offers will continue to improve.

Purdue did really well with plan A guys in the '18 class (especially if he lands Tyger who would be a heck of a get at PG. if he continues to improve his shot, he could be an all-American.) If Painter can do the same in the 19 class and snag a top 50 player, that would be very useful. Purdue already has a lot of pieces, work in some top 50 guys that fit the system and buy in then we are cooking!

PF is what we need at this moment. If either Williams or Wheeler can step up and play 4 next year we will be fine. So TJD and Okoro are the top two on my list. And I do think we need a SF so getting Hall maybe will fill some holes. Hall is still a junior and maybe he can grow two more inches and add more weight. PF and a PG will be perfect. Tyger is just unknown so getting small Thompson will be the scenario. Don't know much about Stewart. Brooks and TJD reportly prefer the OTHER school so maybe Okoro? About VanKomen, I don't think we need another seven footer, even if Haarms leaves early, we still have Dowuona and Williams cover the 5. So a new 5 can come later. If Tyger commits elsewhere I say 100 percent Thompson comes. We will have multiple players on the roster that can play point. Carsen has one year overlap with Thompson, Eastern will get better or maybe he will play 3 at the end. Hunter is a combo and Sasha played point in all star series. PF, PF!!! If we can't hit the transfer market we have to get at least one of them on the list.

I agree with much of your analysis. But I don't think you pass on a 7-footer with potential. They just don't come along that often. And when one of them blossoms at Purdue, it's a good chance they leave early.

Here's a story about Van Komen.

Chances are Wheeler will never be a true PF, maybe a stretch 4 but I see him more of a 3 assuming he can shoot the open 3 consistently. We want his length and athleticism on the wing
TJD and K Brooks would both be incredibly big time to land both. Sparty will likely go all in on K Brooks. Would be nice to keep some of these in state guys in a Boiler uniform.
