Madison Layden named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Also Fatou Diagne was named to the Big Ten Honor Roll with back to back Double-Doubles.

Congratulations to both young Ladies!

She had another pretty solid game this week. Hopefully she is someone upon which the team can be (re)built.
On a separate note I saw that as of today Purdue comes in at #117 in the NCAA Net rankings. Not sure I've ever seen it that low. Comparatively Austin Parkinson has IUPUI at #35.

Last night again, inept coaching kept Purdue from the win. Tons of ineffective offensive sets. Minn is not very good either and won because one player went off with 6 treys. Looking at the schedule I see at best 3 more wins which would put them near the bottom of the league and definitely well under .500. I have given up hoping for a change.
Layton is truly a talent. Did really hurt that Mac was out again, but Moore scored enough to keep us in the game.

It really hurt when Madison Layden got her second foul. Minnesota really built their lead while she sat out in the second quarter.

I hope the ankle injury for Karissa McLaughlin is nothing major. They really need her on the court and to start shooting like the old Karissa McLaughlin.
