That makes two guards to OSU. I am not sure what that means to Hunter and it may mean nothing. Hunter is big and versitile, but their roster is filling up. Purdue still anxiously awaits Hunter's decision. The perfect fit and a chance for immediate minutes. Has to be the best and obvious choice here now, right?

Purdue is definitely the best option for Hunter, but Minnesota isn't a bad choice either.

Would be astounded if he goes anywhere aside from those 2.

As I've posted before Minnesota had a great season, but last year was the first time since I think 03-04 they have finished over .500 in conference play. I think it is a little early to be projecting sustained success for that program. Would hate for Hunter to wind up playing in obscurity like Glenn Watson at Nebraska if this thing goes sideways for Pitino Jr.

My guess is that Pitino will spend a lot of time this visit telling Hunter why he shouldn't choose Purdue. I think that Purdue's offense is ideal for a combo guard, but Pitino won't spin it that way. I like Purdue's chances, but I don't have a great sense of how Hunter sees it.

And no Justin Ahrens, who is 6ft5 although listed as a pf.

I got to say OSU is out at this point, but since Holtman took Ahrens, it tells me they still would have taken Hunter, and he didn't jump and commit before Minny. That tells me that OSU wasn't his first choice or he would have pushed up his commitment.

Purdue and Minny are probably neck and neck even though the obvious choice for strictly basketball and fit is Purdue. Purdue really needs a player of his size, versatility, and ability with all they are losing after this year.
