Just spoke with new Purdue offensive line commit Luke Campbell and finally gathered some info on him. We'll have a full story at some point, but here's the most important stuff.

• He attended a camp day two Mondays ago and went through an individual workout for Darrell Hazell, Marcus Freeman, John Shoop and Jim Bridge and was offered immediately there. He committed on Friday. Freeman had been recruiting him prior to the camp appearance and told him that he figured once all the other coaches saw him, he'd immediately have an offer. He was right.

• Purdue was his eighth offer. Illinois, Cincinnati, three MAC schools and the academies offered. Michigan State and Pittsburgh were also interested.

• Campbell was recruited to play offensive tackle but admits that at 6-4, he's 'a little short' for tackle. He was 272 at Purdue and has put up 30 some pounds since the end of his junior year, so this is kind of a body-transformation sort of deal, which usually speaks to up-side.

• It is an option for him to maybe graduate early but nothing's been decided yet as to whether or not he will.
