Guys a hell of a recruiter and damn near a legend in Louisiana high school football despite being so young.
Might be a year early for him, but they can't risk not getting him
No need to start throwing that CRAP around..............he just got here...............signed a 6 yr deal......after 4yrs and he has us at 9-3-10-2 seasons....then maybe you can start to worry..................
I think you'll start seeing schools grabbing hot coaches faster than before. Brohm even tho is just now at his first P5. He has made waves nationally and big schools have taken notice.
Yawn. Brohm isn't going anywhere. He's going to be HC at Purdue for a LONG time!
Why not say Jim Harbough will be their next coach? I'm sure Jim is bored at Michigan. And wants to battle Saban mono a mono once a year. It makes as much sense.
I wonder if the Colts make a run at him. He has ties to Indy and Luck. No recruiting, no class issues, no Buckeyes. Hold up will be him wanting total control and what GM would hire a coach who wanted that
I am not sure that the initial premise of this thread is correct. If I am correct, this is Orgeron's first full season at LSU. As such, he is reasonably expected to get time to install his system and his players before an accounting of his tenure is possible. LSU was not in great shape in the later stages of Miles' employment. They were viewed as disappointing by most.
While ADs may be willing to pull the "fire" trigger sooner than in the past, doing so in the first full year is still very early. Does that example make LSU appealing to a rising coach? I am not convinced that is true.

This is somewhat true but he was a temp to perm hire and those guys get far less wiggle room. Lots of LSU fans thought keeping him on initially was a big mistake.
I think they will let him go after the season. The SEC is down, the SEC west is down outside of Bama and LSU will still lose lots of games this year.
I think they will move on from Ed O. If they do, they might come after Brohm but we could match any $$$ offer they came with unless it was just insane.
If Purdue bowls this season, schools will likely come snooping, but I think the only school that you all need to worry about is Louisville and for obvious reasons. Petrino lost his biggest ally in Jurich so he's likely out the door in the next year or two. Will be interesting to see what happens when that job comes open. There will be a lot of pressure to bring Brohm home.
LSU is NOT certianly going to get a new coach..An there is 12 million reasons why..then 8.5 million reasons in '18 and 6 million reasons in '19...and their still paying off Miles to the tune of 9 million..i really laugh at these internet dumb posts
FYI, Adidas has a contract with the U of L athletic dept, not just the basketball team. Ever wonder how an academic skank in the middle of nowhere recruits football players so well?
By the time the FBI findings are aired, Louisville football may be on NCAA probation or worse.

The loss against Troy was pretty bad but I have a coworker who is a big booster to LSU, and what they are selling is Orgeron is basically a recruiting stop gap while they wait for Saban to move on from Alabama, which they expect will be in the next couple of years. Whether or not there is any legitimacy around that I don't know but he isn't going anywhere.
Plus I hear the visiting locker rooms are nicer in the SEC.
I just dont see them going after Brohm yet. IMO, they will throw money at someone who has a proven track record in a p5 conference.
