McMahon took only two shots....hit them both (one out of a time-out).....three pointers.....and they were back-breaking momentum-killers for Purdue. He reminded me of those "pesky" (and I mean that as a compliment) Iowa guards from years gone by. During the broadcast, Bilas mentioned that apparently Pitino learned of him from none other than "Dukie" V down in Florida, urging his "Paisan" that he had to take a look at this kid.....I shudder to think of the gushing exchange that would have taken place if Vitale had actually worked the game.
