U really one negative dude and I’m sure you been waiting to say I told you so. Your might wanna be careful what you say. I no how good my son is and better enjoy him now won’t be here long. 6 games into the season ppl wanna throw the team under the bus. No don’t look to appealing right now but I’m sure there will be some adjustments at some point. I no my son can play for a blue blood team so b4 u say something you only think you no 6 games into the season things can be fixed hopefully that happens. Don’t insult kids you wouldn’t want ppl to insult ur kids.
Mrs. Reed: this is what happens when Purdue loses. All of the negative posters will start saying "I told you so" and "Fire Painter" and they will blame the refs, and find all the little faults with each player.
Stuff like, we love PJ, but because of his lack of height, he's never going to be able to prevent a last second three from happening, as they will just shoot it right over him despite how well he attempts to play defense. or they'll say, a point guard with only 1 assist?
or you'll see, man oh man, Cline was a Gatorade 3 point champion. Why can't he make a shot in a game when it matters?
A frequent post from the past 4 years, V Edwards disappeared again. or Haas is a turnover machine.
And rather than coming from trolls, those type of posts come from the Purdue posters. And then you will see posts made from Purdue posters you've never heard from before. They only post after a loss. And yes the posts are ugly. and yes, they are very critical and personal. But we live in a sports society where criticizing high school athletes is the norm. Every elite player has national publications and scouts criticizing high school juniors and publishing those criticisms on their national sites. and posters cut and paste as if they were their personal evaluations seeking cred. This forum is full of AAU coaches, players, and people who know everything about sports. So why would you expect them to be any different than the national scouting services? We live in a society where people criticize Trump for wearing pants that didn't match his sports coat and for his Make America Great hats made in China. Hillary has to be the most talked about and criticized loser, ever. Goldwater, Humphrey, Romney, Gore, and McGovern combined received about 1% of the hate/criticism Hillary receives even after she lost. That's what America has become. We find fault in others and even more when they're down.
the more losses Purdue has, the more posts that will be made. I'm a veteran of three different Purdue forums, and was suspended from one for a period of time because of my negativity towards Hazell. You may have noticed, our board has gotten so ugly, that a recent thread about LaVar Ball was locked. This site moderator hasn't locked a thread in a very long time. I've seen a lot worse, and I've seen better. But, what should be clear is that there will be a lot of posters who only show up after losses, and a lot of posters who will show up around tourney time. it's like they take 3 months off, and then start criticizing in every post. Our fans are a lot worse and a lot more critical than our trolls.
I'm kind of glad my son was never good enough to be an elite basketball player. He hated the criticism he received from fans in his local high school. His team nave made it to the Illinois state championship. He gets enough criticism now from his coaches as a track athlete. His season starts 10 December. This could be his best season ever. although there will be always somebody looking for fault and hoping he will fail.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
