How fun would that offense be to watch? He walked the walk, talked the talk and loves Purdue as much as any player ever.

Super Bowl winner, all time passing leader, great guy...I think he could work miracles on the recruiting trail.

He'd really need to have coaching in his blood. Not saying he doesn't, but I just can't see him being a college coach. More like GM or owner if he stays in sports. Guy could run for governor.

Drew is a great ambassador for Purdue University. But he is not a football coach. He is an NFL quarterback. When he ever decides to retire, he MAY want to go into coaching. But you don't go from playing to (head) coaching immediately. No one does. Even if he wanted to go into coaching he would go in at a lower level, or at an assistant level first.

My money is on Drew enjoying watching his kids grow up in his retirement.

Mike Neu isn't exactly lighting it up at Ball State as their former QB turned coach...not on the same level of Brees but he was his QB coach for a minute in NO. There's a ladder to climb in the coaching ranks that takes a while for damn sure.

By the time a coaching career got him to the point of HC in the BIG, his kids will be old enough to play here or older ;)

Unless you're also a car salesman like Fleck.

Just wow...you're really reaching today...

If I'm Brees the last thing I want to so is coach. He's invested well. He's an icon in NO. What would be the attraction to deal with kids and fans in W Laffy?

I think t was discussed a while back that Brees would make a better AD than a coach. The guy wasn't shy about visiting other PU sport games (cheering his ass off) and obviously runs a good charity business.

that doesn't necessarily mean a good AD but just sayin.

But then he'd get roasted on this board every day by those on the sideline who think they' know more. And the Brees to Saints threads would never end.
