Looking at the box score from our loss to Rutgers in December

3 things jump out to me.

1. Furst/Gillis combined for 20 minutes, 0-1 from the field (missed 3 by Gillis), 1 rebound, 1 block, 3 fouls.
2. Newman played 13 minutes and went 1-6 from the field (1-5 from 3) with 3 turnovers.
3. Rutgers 7-14 from 3. Purdue 7-26 from 3.

I'll be surprised if Furst/Gillis doesn't combine for a double-double this time around. Newman has obviously fallen out of the rotation so it's unlikely he'll play this time around. And there's a strong possibility we'll outshoot Rutgers from 3 this time around since we are like top 5 in the nation at shooting it and Harper is their only rotation player shooting over 40% and he might be playing with a bad hand, albeit his non-shooting hand, if he plays at all. About the only thing Rutgers has going for them is they have Geo Baker this time. Even if Harper plays, he and Baker will need to combine to replicate with Harper did alone in the first game and that won't be easy for them.

I'm getting the same feeling looking at everyone fret about Rutgers in this game as I did listening to everyone build up Illinois before we hosted them. I see no reason we don't win this comfortably if we play/shoot remotely well.
