One spot in the final four will be occupied by either MSU, NC State, Dayton, Ok, N. Iowa or Louisville. What an opportunity it was to be in that Bracket. MSU lucky and good it appears.

whatever combo of things he does, it works for his guys so often (whether its scheduling, teamwork, motivation/speeches, etc).
based on their history, it would correlate fairly well for another final four run:

I despise that man, but when I'm filling out my brackets, you simply can NOT bet against Izzo in March. If you do, might as well toss your bracket....as I have had to do.

That Nova bracket was complete garbage and was a gift to Slick Rick and Izzo. I have that one picked perfect so far and have lville playing msu in the elite 8. Not so much coaching as it was the draw. I'm not being a hater, I'm indifferent to their success or failure. NC State beating that Nova press like they were playing a high school team...THAT was impressive coaching!
Pretty sure Msu lost in the first round to UCLA in 2010.

Michigan State lost to UCLA in 2011. They were in the Final Four in 2010 with Butler, Duke, and West Virgina.
They have been really good and playing their best ball most of the time in March, but they have also had some brackets open up too. Like some have said, you need to be both good and a little lucky.
Gotta give Izzo his due, though. He has guys stepping up.....big time.
You don't have the history and track record he does and even remotely mention "luck". The guy is a legend.
He quite honestly might be the best coach in Big Ten history. Say what you want about him, I for one love the way his teams play. Was not much of a fan of Dawson, but Izzo's guys play year in and year out as hard or harder then any other team in the Big and maybe the country.
