I thought both were legit calls the way the rule reads. Bentley call was close.

I disagree with the spirit of the first call.

First, he didn't lead with his head. I know that's not the key determinant on a targeting call with a defenseless receiver but it's SOOOO hard when going full speed to know if the guy caught the ball or not. Plus, while he was going for the ball his head moves and moves into the range of our players shoulder, when if the WR continues on the path he was originally on its shoulder to chest contact.

It really takes away from the element of football. Where the Michigan hit on anthrop was VERY late. A full 1.5 seconds after the ball cleared his head. It wasn't targeting but clearly a late hit...and no call?

The Bentley call was BS.

I don't know the exact rule but I felt the first one was less preventable than Bentley's. On the first one, the receiver started falling down while the pass sailed way over his head. Had the receiver gone up for the ball like anyone would expect, the hit would have been at waist level. Not sure how a player can be expected to anticipate that.

I hope like hell you guys beat Minny. I can not stand Fleck. I think he's a fraud, but Brohm is the real deal.
