I'll preface my comments by saying that I don't think Purdue admin gets it right all the time. I'll also readily recognize this is a fan forum ... a "watercooler" of sorts ... and as fans, we sometimes let our opinions get in the way. And, some who post here cannot be convinced they don't have all the answers on the admin and coaches.

With all that said, I also don't think it's a coincidence we dodged a bullet with that one. And, I think there were other qualified coaches who just didn't measure up in key areas.

Whether it's hiring coaches, or coaches recruiting players, we clearly need to place a large amount of trust in those making the decisions. Not blind faith, but trust ... in them ... to do their jobs.

Agree with you comments...with one small caveat. I don't think "we dodged a bullet" because the "Miles to Purdue" was never anything other than a few very vocal message board posters promoting this. Every indication was the Purdue administration was never interested.
