He has talked with Minnesota and is under serious consideration by them. I would prefer they get another coach like the one they fired--a guy who can't control his team.

Well it looks like Les might not find a job. Nobody wants him. Well there is gonna be an opening at Western Michigan apparently. Maybe he is too old to get a P5 job. Poor Old Les.

I think it was agreed to before last night...as hard to believe Claeys is fired without the agreement with Fleck in place.
Youre probably correct. But reports it was a done deal were floating last night.

If it was agreed to before last night, then why interview Les Miles? If you've got your man, then why play games?

To protect the notion that Fleck put out publicly about not talking to anyone...as well as to make it appear that due diligence was done, as should Fleck not work out and they not had interviewed Miles (token or not), the guy would be blasted for sure.

No way Claeys is fired if they did not already have his replacement.

Give the appearance of a process.
Nat....Whats your take on Jerry Kill being in good enough shape to take the OC job that he did instead of returning to the Minny staff in some capacity.... Do you think that Kill could smell the funk that was surrounding Minny and went elsewhere????

No. I think the stress is less being an OC v. being the head coach. I dont think he could handle all that was involved anymore.

As the OC, he can divide those duties to other co-OC's (run game, red zone, 3rd down, etc) and then put it all together. He doesn't have to have the stress of being on the sideline, talk shows, media requests, booster/alumni dinners, etc. I, for one, am glad to see Kill take another job as he is a man of high class and one that young men in football (in any capacity) need to be learning from and being led.

I agree, just surprised that Minny HC didn't have a place for him since Kill hand picked him.

Kill came out last week and blasted the Minn administration for their actions firing Coach Claeys . Kill said he would never ever step inside their new stadium. I think Kill just burned that bridge.
