Yes, Brohm said they were not going after any linebackers in the portal, but with Alexander not coming back and Saunders hitting the portal the Boilers are getting thin on experience at that position.
Maybe thin but pretty strong in two deep.

Plus we play nickel a lot and don’t rotate LBs as much. We pretty much have two deep with Kreul backing up Wahlberg at MLB next year, Graham and Brothers at the dog position, and Washington and Yanni at the other LB position. Is Douglas not returning for sure? So what does Purdue have to offer? Chance to ride the pine? Saunders was the odd man out if he doesn’t want to stay why would we expect any decent LB to want to?
Not a bad list for potential, but still short on experience. Not sure what the snap counts were, but other than Graham , only Brothers has double digits in tackles with 12. Saunders would have been third on the list with 8. Is a sixth year for Fakasiieiki still a possibility?
Fakasiieki is returning, good catch. And I think Douglas is as well. Brandt can also play LB.
I count 85 schollies right now counting Liston and we still need to add a RB and expect Downing would want a schollie as he was a PWO last year. This includes only Fineran and Ansell on ST. Looking at my scholly grid I just don’t see many other possibilities for departure, maybe at TE or DB. Need some more attrition before we can add a LB.
Taylor is out I thought he participated in senior activities. I’m assuming 11 scholarship WRs including 2 freshmen and 2 transfers.
i expect a TE. Surprised we havent seen the name yet. We have 2 front line guys who will command the majority of the playing time.
Yeah. I count six returning (Durham, Miller, Bilodeu, Piferi, Biber, Cravaack) plus two freshmen.
I also do not have Marks, Mackey, and Wright on my list. Some could surprise and take a spot.
One of the two freshman is a hybrid TE/FB. I think he will eventually play the role Cravaack did.
It might have discussed in another thread; I am not sure, but Elijah Ball, Dave Monnot and Anthony Romphf have entered into the transfer portal over the last 3 days or so. That will open up additional spots in other areas too.

Kinda nervous going into 2022 with only 3 scholarship QBs... Gelov wild seem like a serviceable 4th.

Big difference between ineligible for bowl game and ineligible for the following season. Could happen if he doesn't take care of business, but I haven't heard as much.
Too much at stake for him to not be. If he comes back he’s an EASY 1000 yard guy that likely gets drafted.
He’ll either be back or out of football.
Just noticed Cravaack is not on the spring roster. I didnt see anything that said he was official but that was a position we seemed flush at with 5 returning TEs.
Guys he posted this the other day and Devin don't really use social media much.
We're in the same boat like everybody else when it comes to football info.
Need some more KHC spy at the next three open spring practice that for the public...lol
