It's never too early for me to get psyched about football. I'm really enjoying G&BI's coverage of the spring practices and different positions, particularly LB and OL. Specifically, I'm energized by what I'm reading about the LB's and defensive front. A weakness for more than a decade, if the LB corps and DL are simply above average we have a shot to be in every game. And teams won't be able to grind us down in the 3rd and 4th quarters running the football. I would LOVE to dish out some payback to Wisconsin, MSU and Minny (particularly Wisconsin), teams that have punished us running the ball. Although those teams are really good at running the ball against everyone. Still, very interested to see how this group develops.
On offense, I have no idea. But I do think we will run the ball more effectively this year. Sounds like the OL will be better. Other than that, no clue.
