At worst an 8 win season, at a school with tough admission requirements.

Also just saw 5 of 8 wins by 10 points or less. When you win close games with no passing attack, it is pretty impressive to me. Do what you do and make it work.

I am not impressed with NW. They have no passing game. Not sure how they win all those games?

This wasn't their sharpest game but the end of the game showed the gigantic difference in coaching.

3rd and 2 -

US: We call a "stand there and wait until someone hits you" play. WTF was that? Why a deception play for 2 yards? Just get it to a RB and man up!
THEM: This wasn't even intended probably, but they had a hard count and we jumped offsides. Easy first down.

5 minutes left in the game -

US: Throw a 2 yard pass on 3rd and 11. Punt.
THEM: Mix up runs and passes. Confuse the D. Then challenge your offense to pick up tough yards and they do.

I'm sure our approach will look perfectly rational once we dissect the tape.

You can't waiver from the plan when you're trying to flip a program. Sure, showing some creativity and flexibility might win more games, but that apparently isn't part of Haze's plan.

And they seem to do it all with high academic standards, sub par facilities and no promises of $60 million football offices that we'll be asked to pay the ransom for.
Nicely done.
