Any Kostas news? Sorry about the new thread, but the other one got hijacked by a pissing match. Now that we know what we have coming back next year, does Kostas see an opportunity here at Purdue?
I had a feeling that if either VE or CS went pro, Kostas knew he would get immediate playing time and would pick Purdue. But since both are coming back, I think he's strongly weighing his options between playing major minutes immediately on a sub-par team vs. practicing against elite, NBA caliber players everyday but playing limited minutes on a championship contending team this year.
Yeah, maybe but you've got to think with a brother in the league his focus is getting there. If a couple of seasons in W Laffy can get you ready for a lifelong career in the big city vs a couple of years in the big city that don't get you quite as prepared you'd pick the better prep. JMHO.NYC vs West Lafayette might factor in as well.
So is IU but that doesn't stop them from offering.I haven't studied it today, but I thought St. J's was out of scholarships.
Ooops, I forget there are programs ... and there are programs ... I'm getting old in my old age.So is IU but that doesn't stop them from offering.
I'm sure Painter is also pointing out the very real possibility that this upcoming season could be the last for both Vince Edwards and Caleb Swanigan - and who knows what will happen if Isaac Haas has a break-out season.
Like ghostofjack said, come to Purdue and spend next year learning and sparring with those guys. There will be playing time galore in 2017-18 and beyond.

Looks like some recruiting "experts" have him predicted to go anywhere, but Purdue.

Has 247 EVER had a player going to Purdue?
Not since Eric Gardner left. There's no Purdue writer, therefore, zero Purdue presence.Has 247 EVER had a player going to Purdue?
It appeares to me that 247 collects the rumors and occasional horses mouth statements and assigns a probability for schools of interest. This is only as good as the accuracy of their contributors which is obviously skewed if they do not have contributors following each potential school. They know about as much as we do about the odds of anyone choosing schools outside of our interest. Not since Eric Gardner left. There's no Purdue writer, therefore, zero Purdue presence.
Pretty much nailed it with this paragraph. Only think the 247 "predictions" show is we have no horse in any race. We won't get any recruits as a prediction unless we have a writer feeding 247 information. It appeares to me that 247 collects the rumors and occasional horses mouth statements and assigns a probability for schools of interest. Not sure how that would work with the red shirt and being able to transfer.Kostas Antetokounmpo might be available now. He was an academic red shirt this year at Dayton though.
If he is going to transfer, wouldn't IU have a better inroad than us?Kostas Antetokounmpo might be available now. He was an academic red shirt this year at Dayton though.
He would have to sit out another year and only have three to play. Not sure how that would work with the red shirt and being able to transfer.
His younger brother Alex is starting to get a lot of attention too. Not sure I know his height but says he has a 7'2 wingspan. I would take a look.
