Painter needs to sell him on both practice time and playing time! Hammons made Haas and Biggie better by facing him everyday and Kotas will face those two everyday!

I'm sure Painter is also pointing out the very real possibility that this upcoming season could be the last for both Vince Edwards and Caleb Swanigan - and who knows what will happen if Isaac Haas has a break-out season.

Like ghostofjack said, come to Purdue and spend next year learning and sparring with those guys. There will be playing time galore in 2017-18 and beyond.

I had a feeling that if either VE or CS went pro, Kostas knew he would get immediate playing time and would pick Purdue. But since both are coming back, I think he's strongly weighing his options between playing major minutes immediately on a sub-par team vs. practicing against elite, NBA caliber players everyday but playing limited minutes on a championship contending team this year.

NYC vs West Lafayette might factor in as well.

I think Vince has a long ways to go to really stand out. He's gotten better, but still lacks consistency. He wasn't even invited to the combine this year. Unless he really has an urge to leave, I think he's a 4 year guy. Or he has a ridiculous year next year.

I'll never buy into location being a factor. If it were, places like Miami, USC, etc would have the best recruiting classes every year.
It's not like this guy would be hitting the clubs in Manhattan and spending $20 on a beer.
Have you ever been to E Lansing? It's a shit hole.

I don't think that 247 prediction has been updated for him in a long time.

It looked exactly the same before he even visited Purdue (3 weeks ago), and it only shows him having two offers - IA St and Memphis. We aren't even listed.

Not since Eric Gardner left. There's no Purdue writer, therefore, zero Purdue presence.
It appeares to me that 247 collects the rumors and occasional horses mouth statements and assigns a probability for schools of interest. This is only as good as the accuracy of their contributors which is obviously skewed if they do not have contributors following each potential school. They know about as much as we do about the odds of anyone choosing schools outside of our interest.

Pretty much nailed it with this paragraph. Only think the 247 "predictions" show is we have no horse in any race. We won't get any recruits as a prediction unless we have a writer feeding 247 information.

Ironically, came across this tweet right now. If anyone wants to have a crystal ball prediction, here's your chance:

I've seen some chatter that he may not qualify academically. Wouldn't be surprising since he only moved to the US a few years ago. If true, that plus his late development would help explain why he hasn't been offered by more schools. With several open scholarships, Purdue can afford to pursue someone like that even if they end up not qualifying.

Keep in mind - a lot of these people don't really that many "ins". It's like Hammer & Rails - they operate a blog on a network that has some VERY reputable sites. But Hammer & Rails does NOT have the "ins" that some of their "sister" websites on the same network.

There are very few trustworthy recruiting sources out there. They can predict all they want, doesn't mean it means anything.

Kostas Antetokounmpo might be available now. He was an academic red shirt this year at Dayton though.

Not sure how that would work with the red shirt and being able to transfer.

His younger brother Alex is starting to get a lot of attention too. Not sure I know his height but says he has a 7'2 wingspan. I would take a look.

He would have to sit out another year and only have three to play.
