Keys pushes Purdue past Marist; Boilermakers end Western trip 2-2 (link)

Hard to comment on games you did not see, but great that young Boilers went .500 on western swing. It didn't seem right to make long term judgements off the two road losses vs experienced teams so the two wins kind of balance the picture. This somewhat reminds me of last year when things were not looking so good and ended up surprisingly well so I am reserving an opinion of what this team can do until it develops. I think there is a lot of BT level talent on this squad so expect a lot of competitive games. The Ga Tech road game will be a test. Then lots of home cooking at Mackey with the Ball State and St. Mary's (they beat Indiana) the toughest. Then the BT. It will indeed be an up and down year, but I think there will be a lot of solid wins.

Agree that it's too early to draw conclusions but I was disappointed in 2-2. Was hoping 3-1 or better. Not the end of the world but I don't think we helped our NCAA Tournament resume on this trip.
