What's the current situation with Gilbert? I saw a couple of tweet headlines that seemed fairly confident in the staff keeping him committed. 247 still calls him a "hard commit." Wiltfong still has him at Purdue, albeit with just a 6 confidence.

He said before the coaching changes that he wasn’t going to sign until the late signing period. And he reaffirmed at the time of the coaching change, he was remaining committed to Purdue regardless of who the new coach was going to be.

His previous tweets sounded like he was more committed to Purdue than Brohm and company.

I don’t know why he said he was not going to sign during the early signing period. But he has remained consistent and there have been no rumors about him going to any other school.

i believe the delay is non-football related. he said before all the portal and coaching changes he was going to sign in the second signing period. and that's what he's doing.
