For achievements in women's sports, I think she is the best all time for PU.

Good news.

Would agree with you, Gemstate. Always thought she was the engine behind the '99 Championship and '01 Final teams. Was such a smart player with a stong will to win. Excellent shooter, passer, defender and rebounder. Great representive of Purdue University.

...of a handfull of great Purdue women...

...to play the game, Katie is right at the top. Living on the south side of Indy the last 29 years, I was fortunate to see her play at Perry Meridian for Mike Armstrong before she became a Boiler...nobody overcame more personal sorrow, and NOBODY that I have witnessed in my career, continued to get better, EVERY YEAR, for as many seasons as she did. I am so happy for your selection, Katie! Well done.

Agree 100%. I think this is a long overdue honor for Katie. She had at least as much to do with Purdue's National Championship win in '99 as White and Figgs, yet she has had to wait much longer for recognition. She also has done more in the W than any other Boiler. She deserves this and has for some time. Congratulations to Katie! She has always been my all-time favorite Boilermaker!

Maybe the best all around WBB player we have had. A Robbie Hummel type, tho maybe better to say Hummel is a Douglas type :) We all know the painful family tragedies she went thru. Class on all levels.
