Does anybody know how many plays he was in on last night? And how this number compares to other star DE’s?

It seemed like to me he came out a lot last night. Not sure if it’s strategic or load management or nothing to even note.

I think it's two-fold.
1) Load management/player development - they want GK fresher during key points, and he's a high motor guy, so he's always going hard; the other side is that Purdue will lose both starting DEs next year, so I think they are getting younger guys in there for experience as well.

2) OSU seemed to play faster when GK was out - my guess, to prevent him from coming back in. - did anyone else notice that?

What's the reason that his Brother didn't see the field?

He was a beast last night. You can see why they ran so many plays the opposite side of where he was located at.

Is this a thing because they are being aggressive? Like the more you pin your ears back the more you wanna rest a guy?
Yes it’s because they are being more aggressive. Watch more football man. In the NFL pass rushers have oxygen tanks on the sideline for when they’re out of the game. Classic Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis with the Colts. Defensive end, especially for a rusher like GK is an extremely taxing roll. The more you pin your ears back the more rest you need. It has nothing to do with not wanting him on the field and everything to do with player health and safety and effectiveness over the course of the season

They aren’t pros. They should be playing in the mid 40s. Especially in the trenches.

what amazed me was there were several times he took on 2 OSU linemen and made or nearly made the tackle. Definition of a disruptor

I remember Tommy tuberville or someone was saying that what made the SEC special is that the best teams generally had at least one defensive lineman that was unblockable.. pretty nice for us to have one. Can’t wait to see yanni get out there
