Karlaftis and Alabama

It depends on what he wants. Alabama is a great place, but there is always the chance of being recruited over and snubbed on playing time. Especially if they are good enough to be a four year starter at Purdue. Alabama offers many things that's Purdue could never offer. Purdue offers things Alabama could not offer. They are different enough that we could still be in the running.
He will probably end up with over 30 official offers when all is said and done. He is a freak athlete that projects very well on th defensive side at multiple positions depending on the scheme. He will be a high want recruit for many programs from coast to coast.
If a kid would go to Alabama, he was never going to come here in the first place.
Michigan, PSU and ND have already offered this kid. He'll have his pick it seems. Only thing that might save us is him being a hometown kid and he could play immediately I'm sure.
It no longer bothers me when a player doesn't want to come to Purdue. If they didn't, they weren't going to be happy in the first place.

With local kids, it's either a slam dunk or no way. Very rarely in between as they either want to stay close to home or get the hell away.
