Herman is as good as gone to Texas or LSU after today's results...let the coaching carousel begin with the big boys!
Strong got a fair shot. He was brought in to fix the defense and that is the worst part of their team. Kelly is safe with staff changes.
Herman to Texas which puts Miles at Baylor. I think Jimbo will go to LSU as he seems to need a change of scenery for a multitude of reasons. Then FSU becomes a huge opening.

Honestly? I don't think it matters. If a solid candidate doesn't think a job is a good fit they can wait to see what else is out there. More jobs than quality candidates.
Why would Miles want to go to Baylor?? Why would any decent coach??
(Before Briles) Baylor is a historic dumpster fire in the middle of a terrible scandal that most coaches wouldn't want to touch. They are also in the worst P5 conference in the country which probably won't be around in 8 years or so, and Baylor is considered one of the schools that will be left out of the P4.
I don't really care if we get Miles, but this Baylor talk in regards to good coaches going there is silly. Baylor isn't some historic program, they are historically the worst of the P5 in TX (and worst overall in the history of original BXII). Hell, Houston might be better all-time. And they are completely toxic right now.

Strong out, Herman likely in at Texas. Net effect on Purdue is simply, as expected the Houston job will be open. More attractive job than Purdue? Historically, no. In the future, maybe no. But right now, unfortunately yes.
Houston might promote inside or go for hotshot coordinator again. Watch Lincoln Riley or like.
Kelley isn't going to be fired after this season which is good for Purdue. Not sure what to think about the Baylor job? I would hope their hire doesn't take candidates away from Purdue. Yes, big ten is much more attractive than the big 12.
I agree that Baylor over the long term isn't more attractive. But they have Drayton McLane money that we don't have.
