6'2 190 CB could use another DB and he's tall which is one thing CJB looks at in DB's. Maybe someone to keep an eye on.

Yeah, especially since we have not heard any new news on Cory Trice's progress for months.
We have 17 scholarship DBs next year including 3 transfers, 2 I would expect would compete for starting spots. We are already oversigned. Unless CJB knows of several of these guys leaving I give this very little chance.

Trice was recognized as Purdue Student-Athlete-of-the-Month at the Wisconsin basketball game last week.
No news at all on him football-wise though as you said in a LONG time.
If Long is done/gone, they definitely need someone else from Portal for OL still.
Long appears to be a long shot to return. He indicated he would be interested but needs to get a medical redshirt for his sixth season (per him) and he did not sound optimistic.
i think we have seen Purdue is still offering transfer OL but if they can’t play in spring may be better off focusing on the guys that will be there. They have 17 on scholarship currently including 11 returning. I’m pretty happy with our depth.
You would like to think with 17 available and 11 returning that you can find 5 that are good, and, 8-10 that are at least capable. It is the one area that has really never been above average...there is a lot that has contributed to that, but, it would be nice if it could at least be average/ok...that would help Purdue tremendously.
I thought they played above average in the bowl game. I think we have 4 proven starters in Craig, Holstege, Hartwig, and Miller even if Long doesn’t come back. I think the hope is Finau can step in for Long and we have 5 very experienced good OL.
For depth you hope a few out of kaltenberger, monnot, fox, bycznski, mbow, moussa, alstott-vandevanter, and Richards step up this year. We’ve got some pretty decent talent there.
