Arizona was asking for voters to prove citizenship before voting in Federal elections. The DOJ sues Arizona over this legislation. I have mixed feelings on this. With all of the illegals coming across the boarder, I can see why they would feel this legislation would be needed, but what would constitute proof of citizenship?
I do find it odd though that asking someone to list their place of birth on voter registration is deemed unlawful... Seems to me that would be important to know.
