They are the number 1 offense on Kenpom currently. Purdue just got bumped up to number 2 on offense and 3 overall.
Smart is a good coach imo

A player from Harrison HS is an invited walk-on at Marquette. He got his first basket in the last game. Just a super kid too!! (Jonah Lucas)
I have to admit that when bone(Lenny) started talking up Shaka and the head to head record vs Painter, I certainly didn't like it. But now that Shaka is somewhat local and I pay more attention to him and his team, I really like the way he coaches. Of course it doesn't hurt that he unabashedly calls himself a Painter disciple and emulates many things that CMP does in running his program.
I wish I could figure out the thread where some IU fan using the name Ker????? something I think, told me Marquette was nothing and I was nuts for thinking this years team would be better after losing Jaden and Trevion. I would like to read that again for giggles and grins. That thread was particularly humorous to me, but in a pinch there will be another IU poster sometime soon that will try to duplicate that act.

Yep. They had Purdue on the ropes @ Mackey too. Marquette is really good.
One of the two games (@ Michigan State the other) Purdue was outrebounded, including yielding 15 offensive boards to Marquette.

Yeah I noticed awhile back that they were ranked, yet no one ever talks about our win over them on their own court. This sneakily became a very good win for us.
That was such a rough and unfortunate injury - Achilles are difficult to come back from but wish him the best. Villanova has their work cut out for them.
Gotcha. We’ve been playing them a lot lately it feels like. Must’ve got confused with another year.
