Jon Rothstein just tweeted that we are one of four schools left on his list for transfer. Others being Butler, Iowa State, and Grand Canyon.

Don't know much about him. Big guard from New Orleans.

Hey TC, I just looked him up very quickly: He went from 48% on 3's his freshman year to 30% this past season. That is a huge drop off. I'll have to dig deeper and see if I can find anything that would suggest why??

Just a little more info: He originally committed to TN out of high school when CM was still the coach. When CM went to CAL he changed his mind and went to UNLV. After 2 years at UNLV he announced his intention to transfer and shortly thereafter committed to CAL to be with CM. 18 days later he announced he was opening up his recruitment again and that is what leads to today.

No judgement because I don't know anything about him or the situations at these schools, just something to consider with him having PU as one of his final choices.

Thanks for the info.

This past season, his numbers looked similar to Jalen Hudson's (Virginia Tech transfer), except Hudson got the FT line far more often and shot a better percentage as well (though Hudson's FT percentage was mediocre at best). Right now I would say pass on Cornish.

We were right there with Zo on him out of high school . I thought we would get him prior to Tenn. and prior to UNLV . My point is we have a good relationship with him for what its worth .

Well OB52, what's your take regarding "for what its worth?"

He turned us down twice so our relationship wasn't worth enough . But now considering us again so ?

May I interpret that to mean that we are noticed, but not his intended final location? If that is true, I hope he doesn't waste a lot of time with our staff. I want a player that sees the Purdue team as something they want to be part of and are willing to sacrifice to join. That isn't this player, is it?

Not sure why we are still looking at guards. If anything, we need front court help, especially if CS makes the worst decision of his life.

I don't think he's a grad transfer so if we're looking at him, I don't think it's with an eye on next year.
