I just wanted to clarify that the "passer" in tonight's Slam Dunk competition was wearing IU for a reason. That was my other son. JO was planning to dunk over him and then asked him to pass. It went much better in practice before. Lol. BUT. It's not always about the pass.....JO took him along on this great ride he had this season what better way to end it. Both my boys on ESPN sharing an experience. The hug at the end showed the love. I hope JO still made you proud. That is who he is. He takes everyone with him. And he had a GREAT time doing it. Thanks to the Boiler Boyz and fans that came out. Miss you already! Boiler Up Bas, Ray, PJ, Kendall, and the rest of the Boiler Boyz. Loved getting to know you this season. Mama JO signing off. Be nice to your Boilers next season. They are all just like us trying to make you all proud and doing a great job! Love them all!

It was a pleasure having JO represent Purdue and play for the Boilers this year. Only thing better would be to have him another year.

Thank you for sharing your son with us for this year. He was a great ambassadore for Purdue.
I hope he had a great experience and got his degree. The Purdue degree has never let me down. Opened a lot of doors.
I wish him the best and hope he has a long career playiing the game he loves, whether in the NBA or over seas.

Great dunk at the IU game. guess I should have watched him more. I didn't see that explosive play coming.
Great kid!!

Your son is a blessing to the Purdue faithful and represents everything that is good in sports. I wish him a successful future in wherever his path may take him. Now, does your other son have any collegiate basketball aspirations? #Boilerup

Boilermakers for life. JO was great for us this year and I'm glad he got the opportunity to give you some more memories at the dunk contest. It looked like a packed house and a lot of fun on TV. Good luck to you and your family!

Apologies if this is too personal and please feel free to not answer, but I believe I've seen pictures of JO with you and your son. Have you taken him under your wing as his "adopted" mother of sorts? Is his biological mother not involved in his life? Again, if too personal, please disregard.

His basketball was great and what a blessing, but it pales

in comparison to what I perceive as the type of person he is. THAT is really something to be proud of Ballermomjo!

My family and I were there last night to support JO (my wife even made #OcteusPrime t-shirts for all of us to wear!). As we normally do after Purdue home games, we hung around after it was over so the kids could hopefully get an autograph and maybe a picture with JO. Your other son noticed our shirts and was great in helping us fight through the crowd to get to talk to JO and get some pics with him. As always, JO was extremely gracious and engaging with my family. Your other son commented to us how much JO enjoyed his one season at Purdue and wished it could have been for more than one season. I couldn't agree with that more. I've been very impressed with JO this season, not only with his play on the court, but even more the young man he seems to be off the court. He's always been great with my kids the times we've met him, and I noticed how during last night's event, he was the one player of all the participants who was sitting there in the middle of the court with the young "helpers" that were assisting during the event just to chat with them and spend time with those youngsters. Very cool. You should be very proud of JO, and it's clear he's going to be a success in life regardless what path he pursues.
