In review of some of my recordings of Purdue b-ball last night and erasure of same, I came across the end of 2021 Purdue Wisky game in Mackey Arena with no fans. Interesting that Johnny Davis was not a starter, in fact was a little used sub who may have scored a few points. D'Mitrick Trice was the guy playing all the minutes at guard with Davidson and another unremarkable guy. It was a coming out party for Edey and Ivey as they carried most of the load along with a good contribution from Aaron Wheeler in the game. Point is that if Newman wants a blueprint on what to do this summer, talk to Johnny to get his plan. It took him from obscure sub to BT Player of the Year in one summer. I was very surprised at that result. Seemed like only memorable carry over guys from Wisky in that game were Davidson and Wahl.
