We'll have a couple stories posted off the jersey scrimmage later this afternoon. Gotta compile the statistics, too.
The offense won to keep the black jerseys in practice. The score doesn't really matter because it's not indicative of anything because it's a scoring system, but it was like 70-50 or something crazy.
I'll break down a bunch of stuff in analysis, but the first-team units didn't go head-to-head until the end and by then, it wasn't really the true 1s without any starting skill positions guys on offense and without Replogle/Bentley on defense. We asked Hazell about that approach afterward.
He, shockingly, did not name Blough the starting QB after the scrimmage. (tic) Still, I tried to ask Blough about it. (And Hazell.)
DeAngelo Yancey, Markell Jones, Bentley, Replogle and Martesse Patterson only played one series, but some other starters were out there until the end, which is why when Eddy Wilson appeared to injure something on his left leg, it was like uhhh, should anyone be out there? Too soon to tell what's up with Wilson because it happened on the second-to-last play of the scrimmage.
Brian Lankford-Johnson got hit in the flat, too, and had to go to the sideline, but couldn't tell what was wrong. Jimmy Herman appeared to injure his shoulder but then came back in and played more snaps afterward. Thought Leroy Clark had something with his left shoulder/arm but he never came out, so maybe it was a stinger and he just stayed in.
The guys will have Sunday and Monday off, so a good time to heal up.
More to come on the site.
