Yep, and his impact will grow from here. There's a lot more than charm there.Wow, Jerome Hunter 247 prediction was off- 75% O$U and 25% Michigan but everything pointing to O$U recently. Ed Schilling charm starting to work.

Annually...And IU will still only have 13 scholarships to use.

You are confusing Tom Crean with Indiana University.Annually...

Don't come here and try to tell me my business. I know who the damn coach is doofus. I was acknowledging Schilling's abilities/connections, not tearing him down. You are confusing Tom Crean with Indiana University.
Tom Crean is no longer the coach at IU. Archie Miller does NOT use the oversign; in fact with IU graduating five this year, we are still three under for 2018. So, expect two more signings by IU, to bring the total 2018 scholarship roster to 12. Besides, November is letter of intent signing month. To get two of the five openings signed four months out is not a manic 'Crean-like' move.
Also, apologies from me for intimating that the Jerome Hunter signing and the Henry intentions meant that Damezi would likely got to Purdue; I thought that Henry would pull the trigger so fast that Damezi would be the odd man out. Seems that Henry's offer forced Damezi Anderson's hand big-time.
As well as Calipari's assistant at UMass and at Memphis, as well as when Calipari was coaching the Nets.Schilling is the assistant with Indiana ties that came to Miller's staff from Alford's staff at UCLA. Coached high school in Indiana and then was head coach at Wright State for awhile and maybe some other assistant positions before running Champions Academy (I think is the name) in Indy. Then landed the Park Tudor job and turned them into a state power in basketball.
Anyway, he's a good guy with a ton of ties in the state and I believe Coach Painter tried to hire him a number of years ago.

LolI heard just the opposite....heard he wanted to interview here and was told no......but then again it was on a message board some time ago....so prob. bad info.....
Why are you laughing? It's true.
Then that was a stupid move on his partWhy are you laughing? It's true.
Shilling in my opinion is a better hire for IU than Archie. Better recruiter and maybe a better coach.Wow, Jerome Hunter 247 prediction was off- 75% O$U and 25% Michigan but everything pointing to O$U recently. Ed Schilling charm starting to work.

No way a better coach, but a great recruiterShilling in my opinion is a better hire for IU than Archie. Better recruiter and maybe a better coach.

Hardly a stretch....Shilling has made every program he's been involved with better.I hope so, but that's a bit a stretch .
And quite frankly, you could say the same thing about Archie. If we're being honest.Hardly a stretch....Shilling has made every program he's been involved with better.
Impressive iu landed both Jerome Hunter and Anderson....two guys CMP wanted at some point badly. Could not even get a sniff of interest in JH and DA was interested for awhile, but went to iu.
Good for them. Guess this is why you hire Schilling....
These are the kind of recruiting battles Painter needs to win if he wants to have future teams in place (this season's team aside) that can get past the Sweet Sixteen.
