Apparently he wished to continue to play football...he had that opportunity at Purdue, AND, he may have parlayed a good year into an improved opportunity to continue as such in the NFL as well.

He wasn’t going to do anything next year at Purdue that would have improved his stock. His limitations are size and athleticism
