Looking at his posts, it seemed to be heading that way. He would have been nice to have, but I didn't get the feeling he was a top priority for the Purdue staff, when he clearly was for Cincinnati. I wish him lots of luck and I am still very excited for the class Purdue football is putting together. They need size and I think that is what they are currently prioritizing.

Rivals 247 shows Purdue, Pitt, BC, Iowa, ISU, UK, Illinois, Cincy, Toledo, Ohio etc. Solid offer list.
I doubt he had those offers. Perhaps at one time, maybe. But if he still had choices, why no visits? Committingn to Cincy sight unseen without even visiting any other program doesn't make a lot of sense, unless they're the only option left.

it's disappointing of course. however, it's been discussed on this board and by others, that his lack of offers is the result of not knowing what position he could/would play. he played RB and LB in high school. Purdue wanted him to play DB. He did visit IU. I believe Purdue is better off signing Williams who is already a DB than trying to transform White into a position he's never played. I'm not sure what position Cincy offered him. he would have been better off coming to Purdue. Maybe he's scared of the better competition coming to Purdue !

Freeman was a linebacker coach. Brohm wanted White to play DB. I could kind of sense from White's recent tweets, that once Brohm arrived, he was less interested in Purdue. Maybe Cincy promised him that he could play LB.

no, my point being Freeman lands a 4 star in no time there and didn't do great here.
We passed. It's as simple as that. He was ready to commit to Purdue weeks ago. Good for Freeman, but if this staff wanted him (White), he'd be here. It appears that this kid maybe didn't have the choices that were reported.

Some times a great salesman is trying to sell a crappy product and the buyer sees through that...in this case Freeman was trying to sell Hazell. My sources say Hazell was widely considered a joke in the state by HS coaches AND players.

As I look at it, Freeman was the guy recruiting White to Purdue . it's logical that Freeman would continue to recruit him, and that White would follow him to Cincy

He was a non starter to Ohio HS coaches too.
