I keep hearing his name. Was he under the radar ? Some people are really high on him but I haven't read much detail about him.
They recruited him early on and he committed to WMU in the spring.I keep hearing his name. Was he under the radar ? Some people are really high on him but I haven't read much detail about him.
There is a difference between the signing limit and the number of open scholarships. So we can sign him and sign Bell? I thought I have seen on here that we had 1 scholarship to give, which was being held for Bell due to this 25 scholarship limit. Maybe someone else is transferring?

Either we have the ability to count a signing backwards or someone in the class got bumped.
If Wahlberg is a strong academic student, could roll him in to some type of academic honors program and get some financial aid. Not sure that is all legal but if the kid applied for academic scholarships and has qualified, he might take the opportunity to play at Purdue knowing he has some financial aid and the potential to get a full ride after 1-2 years.Possibly a PWO at Purdue? Hodges helped build a really nice walk-on program at OSU and will likely try to do something similar here.
Good thought. He had ivy league interest according to his rivals profilePossibly a PWO at Purdue? Hodges helped build a really nice walk-on program at OSU and will likely try to do something similar here.
We won’t have to worry about him qualifying then.Good thought. He had ivy league interest according to his rivals profile
Really like his eyes. Guy does a great job recognizing the play and attacking. My only knock might be his speed. His 247 says he ran an official 4.65. That's great but I don't see the speed on his tape. Nonetheless, guy is sawed off and can lay the wood. Interested to see if they throw him at mike at Purdue.
Yeah - that was the thing I noticed when watching the film - not great speed. Big hitter when he gets there but will he get there in the B1G?Really like his eyes. Well - the acceptance rate at iu is much higher than Purdue for a reason...this clearly shows that we had room but didn't trust the eligibility of Cameron Williams.
His tape shows him stringing out plays to the sideline for minimal gain. Shows he can play sideline to sideline and not just in the box.Really like his eyes. You (incorrectly) assume there is only one way schollies are funded. The reality is that you can't hold tuition flat and give out a pile of tuition discounting (fka academic scholarships), so I doubt this is a legitimate option, if permissible at all.
looks like a good get, reminds of Paul Pozluzny.Welcome Jacob! Boilerup! LetsPlayFootball!
You can never have too many Jacobs!
i can only hope.looks like a good get, reminds of Paul Pozluzny.
Offers from BC, Pitt, IU, Purdue, and Iowa State.Obviously Brohm had 1 more scholarship to give out. he obviously wasn't interested in that offensive lineman. he also obviously wasn't interested in Cam Williams. he obviously saw something not many other coaches saw. While his rating is nice, he didn't have many great offers. Maybe that was the result of his early commitment. I guess I'd be more ecstatic if Brohm had flipped him from OSU, Mich or Alabama, or if his name was Weaver.
I guess I'm just getting spoiled by all the other elite athletes brohm is recruiting and bringing to Purdue. Wahlberg is probably one of the best linebackers to come to Purdue in the past 5 years, and we've had some good ones.
So confused right nowLooking on 24/7, he received offers from pitt, ISU, Boston College, minn, Syracuse, and IU. While he may not have generated interest from Alabama, he comes to Purdue with a lot of interest generated by some pretty good schools.
NAT, I posted this before seeing your post. I hate to say this, but I think we just shared the same thought. GASP !!!

you shouldn't comment on what you don't read. Who knows? you could be enlightened. or want to blow yourself up. that's the problem when you block/ignore somebody. You never realize who the first person to originate an idea was. And then I have to be an ahole and remind you.I can only imagine the Wolegabbery I am missing out on...
