surprised he can't even log a minute in an open scrimmage. Was he hurt? I can't imagine him not playing a minute unless he's injured.

Has he had a injury free season yet at Purdue?...I personally don't expect much from him..But if he can give us a few minutes a game I'd be happy

I don't believe he has. He seems to be one of those types of guys that are prone to it. I know it's mostly involved his foot but I think he's had a couple of other injury issues as well.

I am a little worried that J Taylor may never get enough healthy time to make the impact that he is capable of making. He might turn out to be more like Jay Simpson. We all hope not, but some kids are just built for other things than basketball.

He will be fine.....he will surprise everyone and we all will be proud of his efforts.

Injuries happen and he will be fine.....staying positive.

Boiler Up!

When you're banging around with guys like Swanigan and Haas under the basket, you're bound to get beat up. These are "big" big men.

Yes, but this isn't just a one-time thing. Taylor has had recurring injuries dating back to HS so his durability (or lack thereof) is a legitimate concern.

Yes. I'm already proud of his effort. I feel bad for him and hope he gets to realize his potential.

I am old enough to remember when Portland drafted injury-prone Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan and, later, injury-prone Greg Oden over Kevin Durant.

Those were cases of extreme misfortune that cost one team and two potentially-great players. J.T. is a wonderful young man and prospect. I am optimistic, in the long term, he will fare better. But of course I'm concerned.

Go J.T. and Boilers!

Go get'em JT!!!

He is and always was a project in terms of playing at this level.

He must not be tough enough to play at Purdue.

Painter and project players typically don't work out well anyway.

Wish the young man the very best.

Staying realistic.

I bulletined the two troll bait points in this note. You continue to bait the board with your nonsense. I think it is time for you to move on to some other board. Have you tried "badgers-al-the-way-now" or "Hoosiers-all-the-way-now". Both those handles might work for you, for a while.
