Izzo spends more time crying to the refs than coaching his team. He has turned into a big whiner, when he used to be a good coach. It's hard to watch for a whole game.

He gets away with more crap. Late in the game the timeout has ended and the ref holds the ball ready for play while Izzo is 10 ft out on the court arranging his players.

Just watched his post game. Gave much credit to Matt and Purdue. Bitched a little about the refs and schedule but I expected more.

He coached well. Made Morton be the one to shoot. That's how they got in the game. Forced Painter to take him out. It almost worked. He may whine, but he is a good coach, that's why he has 9 final fours.
I knew he’d bitch about the refs, I admit they probably missed that one foul on Edey, big deal, reffing was fair today, a few misses but overall solid. Guys like him and Knight in the day expect to get every call at home, glad that at least today that didn’t happen.

Yeah I was shocked when I heard him say that. Kind of surprised it didn’t result in a headline controversy. He kept saying on MLK day, I had a dream too (until it was blown up by Purdue). Using an occasion like that to discuss his personal aspirations was one of the more cringey things I’ve seen in a press conference. Perhaps it was originally thought out as a beautiful, appropriate speech after a win, and things just didn’t go the way he wanted.

It really just shows you how Izzo literally can get away with everything, he is above accountability on so many levels, which is so bizarre. Can you imagine if 99% of the coaches in the NCAA said that dreck out loud? There would be headlines everywhere leading to a dismissal. What if we went on our Instagram and said something similar? We would be dragged all over the place.
So ridiculous. Izzo needs brought back to earth, stat.
I watched Izzo's comments after this game and the Illinois game before it. In each one, he complained about scheduling, but with no specifics. What has changed with scheduling recently? I know 4 games in 9 days is a lot, but it seems like we've had these stretches in previous years.
He's losing. That's it. If he had won there would be no complaining. Sore loser. Just an actor.
We have the exact same 4 game in 9 days as the big little baby has. Have we heard CMP crying about it?
I couldn't help but think he wasn't whining yesterday so much about the number of games in that timespan as the matchups -- as in both State and Purdue had to play Friday night, but Poor Tom was force-marched to Champaign while the Boilers hosted lowly Nebraska.
Had someone asked Painter about the 4 in 9, he would have likely gone to one of his stand-by responses like "That's part of it..."
I am likely reading too much into Izzo's remarks, but were I writing a headline for that demonstration it would read IZZO PRESSER: OLD COACH YELLS AT CLOUD
He did drop a message for recruits though, come to MSU and play on boats and on MLK Day, but lose those games.
