Izzo loses two players to transfer

You do wonder if these transfers signal the impending commitment from Josh Jackson.
Yep .... I am sure his choice is known to those who need to know. I haven't analyzed the relative positions each plays, but I doubt I need to.

I think the prevailing opinion in East Lansing is that Bess was a power forward trapped in a small forwards body with only average game, and that Clark was going to be buried behind Bridges, Ward and probably former walk on Kenny Goins who will likely now get a schollie. TI's recruiting class that year was considered average at best, and with this year's freshman plus some highly regarded 2017 recruits likely to commit we think he'd simply told Bess and Clark that the writing was on the wall regarding their minutes. I'd like to think he doesn't run players off. A good example was Isaiah Dahlman a few years ago from Minnesota who stuck out four years and didn't play a lick.

I don't think it's directly related to Josh Jackson and I'm pretty sure neither of these kids know anything about where he's going, since nobody else seems to know. Not good to see these guys go, especially Clark who is/was primed to have a very solid final 2 seasons. Bess has never been able to get healthy and after two seasons it was becoming really hard to see what role he was going to settle into and at what position.

Really wish both of these kids the best. Both really good kids who deserve a chance to play and have larger roles than what they might've seen at MSU over the next few years.

Clark and Simon (Ariz.) will be visiting St. John's.
