Ivey is the equivalent of a uber talented DE that only has one pass rushing move. 9 of 10 he can get to the bucket, but when he gets figured out he doesn't have a counter.
When Ivey develops a floor game and a floater (which he will at the next level and unfortunately he doesn't have time to do it here) he will be a multi year all star.
At this point in his career he's too athletic for his own good.
Reminds me of when I was 16 and went to look at a 86 Camaro and test drove it...it was too powerful for me at that age and accidentally did a burnout in the sellers driveway. My Dad looked at me and said too much horsepower for you at 16...maybe something like that when more driving experience. This is the stage Ivey is in right now and unfortunately he won't be in a Purdue uniform when he get more experience.
Plus Purdue never had a someone to play off which he desperately needed.
