I don't normally post Selected Excerpts from other teams games, but there was a clear demand and certainly plenty of material from the IU-Wisky postgame comments to make it worthwhile. I didn't have time to go through the game threads, only the post-game comments, so I'm certain there are a few choice posts I missed. But I think these will more than fill the bill. Enjoy!

Last 9 minutes…Made 1 basket, scored 3 points. We were up 12. Indefensible!

The game has become so lame. It's poorly played, everyone just wants to jack up 3s and flex and scream "AND ONE" when the shot doesn't even go in. I guess having Notrious BIG as your intro music is the criterea for being an amazing coach nowadays.
This team is a complete joke and will be even worse next year when TJD leaves. I doubt it, but maybe we can get Crean back. While they may have under achieved, at least under him the team wasn't a complete embarrassment.
Get a grip, nobody expected us to be good this year, and we probably won't be. I would react that way if we had realistic expectations this year, but we shouldn't. AM left us with 3 years of underwhelming recruits and these guys are, believe me, trying, just ain't so good. There needs to be some Creaning, and a lot less AM or Crean left, plus recruiting. We have what we have. We have a Mr. Bball, that I could probably kick the shit out of in my driveway after I had my coffee and wake up time on a good day and I'm 50, if that tells you anything talent wise what we are dealing with. Give them time to correct it.

I don’t dispute this was bad. It was a game we put ourselves in position to win. No question. How about IUPUfW….twice? or indiana state? This was a loss on the road in the big ten to a quality opponent. We should have won. And could have won with better game management and player execution. But saying this is the worst loss in the past ten years is ridiculous. Partially because there is such a large sample size to choose from.
Not even close. At least two of the Purdue losses in Bloomington are worse. The Knight return game was certainly worse than tonight.
Woody was an NBA assistant. We did not hire Beilen or Drew type coaches. Not sure what people expected with this hire.
It's a talent problem, as I've said in the past, AM left us pretty bare with guys like Leal and Galloway even getting an offer just for the optics of getting a Mr. Bball, or Rob staying and eating minutes.

Well, not all the players have changed. IU was soft under Crean and under Miller. Might be a little much to expect the leopards that were recruited by Miller, that actually suit up for the game, to change their spots. There is improvement but moral victories are tiresome. At some point the team has to figure out how to come out ready to play in the second half of a game.

The diehards will be talking Final 4 run after an impressive stretch against these perineal powers. IU will be 12-2 going in against Ohio State and lose by 25.
I would be stunned if iu makes the tourney. This looks like a 500 team at best but at least we hired an IU guy - that’s all that matters.
IMO is that Scoop Bates will be a good 4 year college player. Need to keep on recruiting. JG and Lander should be getting recruited over.

This game was simply gifted to Wiscy. From our players playing stupidly, or half asleep to several clearly horrible calls. The refs didn't help, but nobody showed up to play smart offense in the second half. Nobody.
None of my real IU fan buddies even watched that game. Says EVERYTHING about this program and team. I watched, knowing the ENTIRE time we would lose. Badgers -3.5 was the best bet of the year. Ill keep watching the ship sink. It is not getting better my brothers and sisters. The dye is cast.
