Leftover Crean players with no good guards and no shooters, plus a new coach and a completely new system.

This IU team is what’s to be expected. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. They hang with Duke at home, hang with Louisville on the road and beat ND, but they also lose big to ISU and FW. Wildly inconsistent. Meh.. growing transitional pains.

no, I think they are way different . A couple of plays different by Purdue or Rutgers (and they are in the BIG) and things would be different. A couple of things different for IU or Ft Wayne and Ft Wayne still wins. There were a LOT of scores in basketball...many more scores than football. That said Brohm was mad I'm sure

This just doesn't make sense. They have more players in the NBA than we do. I think you could think of a better pitch than that.

First, saying this can't be good for Purdue and wishing IU were good again are totally different conversations. It is wrong to combine a thought that is not good for Purdue and wanting IU to be good again. There exists many other thoughts that do not share those two thoughts. First, you don't want to hear about the RPI and yet we know it exists...else you wouldn't mention it.

Purdue would beat IU almost 100% on any other court this year, but this year it is one game and will be again a huge game for IU. Should an anomaly exist and IU win having lost to ISU and Ft Wayne...the math...the memories will not be kind to Purdue. Had IU beat both of those schools and lost every game in the BIG, IU would still be bad, but it would have been better for PUrdue. IU can be BAD and yet have much different effects on Purdue. This situation is not only bad for IU, but bad for Purdue as well. What I think you want is something bad for IU and good for Purdue.

In context of what I said above, saying this cannot be good for Purdue is not the same as wishing IU well. It isn't an either or conversation I don't think. What games you lose or win affects your special treatment at the table of the tourney ...as well as how much money can you make for the NCAA.

Don't you thnk that Purdue would be better off beating IU and IU finishing at the bottom of the BIG should that happen (and it won't) and maybe losing 15 games, but beating ISU and FT Wayne instead of losing to ISU and FT Wayne and still losing 15 games?
