What's the deal? There are 3-4 guys claiming they posted reasonable stuff on here and got banned. We need to be thicker skinned than that, although I suspect they might have been more aggressive than they claimed. Perhaps they just got thrown out with the bathwater and Logical guy?

Did they actually get banned is the question. You know how those IU boys like to "elevate the truth", saying they got their first choice to replace Crean. There's a couple of them who should get banned as it seems all they want to do is argue.
I've got no problem with it. I got banned while trying to be civil on their board because Courtbullshit started whining that I was saying "nasty" things about IU on our board. I'd have a very short fuse with them if I were in an administrative position here.
Who makes the decision and implements it to ban someone? There was one truly obnoxious poster but I just put him on ignore and saw him no more. But maybe those ignores are part of how they decide to ban someone????
Creating a new name and posting innocuous stuff won't keep someone from being banned. Also if some IU troll makes a post derogatory post, IU lurkers who "like" that post will also probably lose their posting privileges.
Courtdense whether one or two is the biggest POS liar on that site....but his twin brother Laughman runs a close second no matter what his new username. Just peeked and he's whining his arse off and has his pink panties in a wad over you and me. Says the mod here....and gave his name isn't doing his job.
My guess he's here under another name and knows as little about athletics as he does about great wine.

For the most part, you have been somewhat civil, unlike some who detest me because I left the IU tent and came here, because as you stated I liked the coaching style of Matt Painter who reminds me in a calmer way of a younger Bob Knight. I really wish he had more of Knight's fire. I knew Davis wasn't ready, that Sampson would get IU in trouble, and that Crean wasn't the answer and after being banned by Peegs multiple times for saying so, this was a logical place to land. You couldn't speak the truth during those years. I also know that I will never return to the IU tent and can't stand the way the mod's allow posters to denigrate Alford and any one else associated with Bob.
As for Miller, the guy I do business with in Dayton has said for the past four years someone would hire him away, and honestly I'm surprised he's lasted this long. I think he'll win about what Crean won in his Sweet 16 years, but not any more than that and I think IU's fan base will not be able to accept that "mediocre" coaching. If he hasn't made a FF in four years, it will be Davis/Sampson/Crean part four, especially since IU has a ton of talent coming back and especially if the recruits decide to stay.
Personally, Branch and Knight set the bar too high for anyone following them and there will always be that shadow of RMK hanging over the place, along with the curse.
Let's hope he doesn't have the issues he had at Dayton.

Under Peegs I could pick at Crapferbrains and he constantly whined at the mods. Now he has these daisy chained twerps right where he wants them.
I vote for "Nonsense/Courtdense" as being the biggest liar on every forum I have ever read. That guy has some major hatred for everything Purdue and lies about us all the time.
Can confirm. A long time ago he made a lie up about me threatening his old uncle or something, which I never did. Ever since then I knew he wasn't right in the head.

He was making some racist accusations on the IU board regarding some who posted there (referring to the old Star board). After these last few years, I view anyone making such statements with a doubting eye. In fact, I think he has many BS statements. Recalling his corrections of how the Purdue team was treated in Bloomington a few years back. Oh well, that is the way these anonymous boards go.

I've been lurking. Never got into it again like on the Star news! I've watched you manhandle lesser posters on a regular basis. It brings back some fond and crazy memories. I appreciate your ability to dismantle their wimpy arguments with the ease of Perry Mason annihilating opposing counsel. I have watched you take Courtsense and others to the woodshed on a regular basis and gotten some great laughs over it. Keep up the good work old friend!
Well, I got banned on Peegs by JefftheIUfan without even posting over there, it was for something I said on this site. Perhaps this site is using the same group of people in Bangladesh to monitor the the activities of IU posters that Jeff works for?

If you deliver your message with respect, they won't ban you. You really have to cross a line before the IU site will ban you. I have never banned. mk_peters has only posted as mk_peters.
As for Courtsensetwo, he is a comedic genius and a solid guy. He would never whine to their admin about posts.
I'm wondering if I had already left the starnews forum. when I started there were a handful of IU and Purdue fans posting. Then Bob and Brad started Mr Hoops...Mike started his Peegs site and then months or a year later Mike sold to Rivals...and GBI was close to that time. What I attempted to say was that Courtsense wasn't Courtsense in the "old days"..there were about 4 to 5 Purdue posters and 4-5 or so IU posters. Courtsense didn't exist or was unknown. Sope existed some...Doug Strombeuili (sp?), Gojko, Mosquito, Wounded Knee a little later, Mike P, Builder Bob quickly come to mind. Myself, db, Mike,Dan C, Danny C, 62, Bob quickly come to mind on the Purdue side. I'm guessing this was between 2 and 3 decades ago?
No I wasn't Sunny who is alive and well and is now living in Phoenix. I was never Chatmans. I had a brief respite as Uriah when Pig Slime got me banned when I didn't do anything. I was reinstated in about a week.
I wasn't. I was never Sunny either. I was accused of being a lot of people I wasn't. Then again I don't remember a MkPeters so you must have had a different handle. Lots of people in those days had more than one username at the same time. There was even a group that shared a name to hammer someone they couldn't argue with one on one. Like Dog said it was wild.
I don't think so. At one time he was dating Sunny so I saw him fairly often as Sunny was actually my sister.
That place got so wild posters were making arrangements to meet somewhere and go all fight club on each other. I think they may have believed me but I finally put a stop to their nonsense. One guy who taught school and was really named Craig got nasty with me. So I tracked him down and posted where he worked and what grade he taught and wouldn't the school be thrilled to know what he was doing during the day. He denied it f course but quickly stopped being a jerk.
Someone did call on me to one of the places I managed their computer network and must have crapped his pants when he got me on the phone. Good times!
Oh yeah, it was nut's! I think I was threatened at least once a week for a while. People were making crap up all the time and trying to get others banned. It was a royal shitfest 7 days a week, but it was fun, even though some times it got quite heated. I had one guy that called my office trying to get me fired. I was out of town at the time, but sure wish I could have been there when they told him I wouldn't be fired for spending time on a message board because I owned the place!
SB do you remember Gojko and company suing IU for Knight's firing? Never did hear who all the posters were that supported that. We had sooooo many things that stirred the pot during those days.
The guy I remember and still laugh to this day was Digger. He was a ND fan and really didn't take sides particularly but he was also an attorney and used to just skewer Blowjoke on a daily basis. Of course the infamous Don Romeo who was entertaining as hell. Another who was really funny was Grover who was a young guy. I don't think it's the same Grover that posts here but I'm not sure.
