Not a chance. Wilson voluntarily took $2M less than he had coming to him. My guess is there is dirty laundry he'd like to keep private.
Unless the Wake Forrest thing IS the dirty laundry. Is it possible that IU found out this was coming and that was part of the reason for dismissal? Yes, this is complete and utter speculation and is 99.9% unlikely, but the way 2016 has been going, nothing would surprise me anymore.

At the same time, I don't think even Shoop had a clue as to what he was going to do (or try to), so hard to imagine him helping anyone out...never mind, he was so lousy just about everywhere he has been, it had far more to do with his own shortcomings than him trying to help anyone out.
He was an assistant coach under Grobe. When Wake got rid of Grobe and brought in Clawson, he was not retained so he moved over into a new career as the radio booth guy. I'm guessing deep down, he felt we wasn't given a fair shake at being retained in the coaching transition.
